hw-detect software package provides Detect hardware and load kernel drivers for it, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hw-detect
hw-detect is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hw-detect package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hw-detect *
You will get with hw-detect package name, version, architecture and description in a table
